Award-winning composer and classical guitarist Jim Lentini has been recognized around the world for his contributions to contemporary classical guitar music. Studying composition and guitar at the university level with some of the top educators in the field, Jim has made a name for himself in his genre and been described by reviewers as an “American classical music success story.” His Concerto for Guitar and Strings was recorded with PARMA, the Zagreb Festival Orchestra, and guitarist Iliana Matos, and is being featured on the Navona Records album PRISMA VOL. 2.
In this interview, Jim discusses how his diverse musical background resulted in the artist he is today, what it was like attending sessions with the recently reestablished Zagreb Festival Orchestra, and more.
Thank you Jim, and congratulations on the release of PRISMA VOL. 2!
