Independent recording engineer Christopher Greenleaf works with early music performers, historically oriented keyboardists, and modern chamber musicians in North America and the EU. His session recordings are on Hyperion, Wildboar, Hungaroton, Piano Classics, EMI, Stradivarius, CRI, Albany, Gothic, Titanic, Centaur, Gasparo, Lyrichord, Japan Audio Society, Parma, his own Classic Masters, and other labels. He presents recording symposia for performers at conservatories and music schools throughout the world. Concert programs and album annotations from Tokyo to Vienna feature his translations from German, French, and Flemish-Dutch and the results of his multilingual music research. When not gently cajoling performers to record in opulent acoustics or wrestling with the printed word, Greenleaf is an acoustic consultant to halls, churches, and performance spaces. He lives in Avondale, RI.
