Joan Marie Dauber (Ghost Choir) is a highly acclaimed interpreter of Baroque music and contemporary classical repertoire. As a concert performer she has sung the music of Bach, Vivaldi and Händel at the Chicago Temple, St. Benedict Parish, and with the Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana. In Chicago Ms. Dauber has been a featured performer in new music concerts featuring works by Aaron Copland, Christian Wolff, Morton Feldman, John Cage, and Kurt Weill. She has been recognized by The American Prize in the opera and oratorio/art song divisions for the last several years. Her creamy, lyric soprano voice has been described as “soaring, powerful, and rich.”
