Evita Trembley (Ghost Choir) is a Canadian Italian mezzo-soprano who has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of major cities, including Toronto, St. Johns (Newfoundland), Rome, and Chicago. Described as “possessing [a] strong and beautiful voice” (Theatre in London), she has played the roles of Arnalta in L’incoronazione di Poppea, Eva in Comedy on the Bridge, Third Spirit in Die Zauberflöte, and Kate in Madame Butterfly. Additionally, Evita has developed strong ensemble experience from holding chorus roles in Così Fan Tutte, La Traviata, Le Rossignol, and La dormente nel bosco. Evita has also participated in Opera on the Avalon in St. John’s Newfoundland, Summer Opera Lyric Theatre in Toronto, RomeSMARTS in Rome and the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. Through these experiences she has had the opportunity to work with teachers such as Cynthia Hoffmann from Manhattan school of Music and Giuliana Valente, a Roman singing teacher who works with singers at Teatro alla Scala in 2012. Evita recently graduated from Roosevelt University with her Master’s in Voice Performance and is studying with Judith Haddon.
